The BioRead-1 offers easy set-up, straight out of the box, with only a few minutes for configuration. After a one-time automatic calibration, the scanner is ready to read. DataPaq™ software makes it simple to export to Excel, XML or text and scanned images can also be saved. The large scan window makes it easy to present the tubes, even when wearing cryoprotective clothing and the weighted scanner base makes it a stable unit. No independent power supply is required as the scanner connects to the computer by USB cable and also draws its power from this source.
