An entry level whole rack tube reader unit designed for bench top 2D Tube code reading. Compatible with all 96 (8x12) Format tube variants.

Like the A6, single rack scanner, our A4 scanner also offers easy set up, straight out of the box. With only a few minutes needed for configuration of our DataPaq™ software, you'll be ready to start scanning in no time at all. A one-time automatic calibration means that you'll then be set up and ready to read any and all tubes – even those hard to read REMP tubes.

Our A4 is very fast, with an effective scan/read time of only five seconds per rack. And remember, you can scan any combination of different manufacturers' racks at the same time.

Optional Cryoprotective Coating to Eliminate Condensation for 2D Barcode Scanners

The Biosero 2D barcode scanners are also available with a cryoprotective coating which prevents condensation build-up on the underside of the window. Condensation can prevent the scanner from reading the 2D barcodes properly. Therefore, if you will be regularly scanning tubes straight from the freezer, the cryoprotective proofing could be the solution for you. Our method for eliminating condensation uses a special coating on the scanner window, no extra electrical components are required. This increases reliability and significantly decreases the cost. Additionally, some manufacturers use fans to remove the condensation which could unnecessarily speed up the thaw-rate of the precious samples.

The cyroprotection option has been extensively tested in real-life situations and proven to reliably work. Some of our customers comment on the cryoprotection option:

Coming from a -80°C freezer empty racks can be scanned right away without any pre-treating or condensation coming up while the process.
