Decapper - Recappers

A compact, high-speed whole rack Tube Decapper that can automatically remove and dispose of the caps from a full 96-tube rack in less than 10 seconds. The xdc-96 Decapper can be used as a stand alone system using the simple to operate membrane key pad or can easily be integrated into automation systems using the RS232 or Windows® Driver provided.

The xdc-96 Decapper eliminates the need to manually remove the caps from a wide variety of 0.5ml, 0.75ml and 1.4ml septum sealed tubes, dramatically improving  productivity and increasing the choice of Liquid Handling systems by eliminating the need for septum piercing capability.

The compact Decapper includes the ability to dispose the caps or re cap the same caps back into the same tubes eliminating the need to manually re cap after the tubes have been sampled.

Compatible with all MicronicTM coded tube racks and capping products, (including the CapclusterTM), and Matrix TrakMateTM coded and uncoded tube racks, including Sepraseal capping products. The xdc-96 Decapper requires only a mains power source for operation.

With the Argon Purging option an 8-Way Manifold delivers a metered dose of Nitrogen or Argon to the open tube. Argon can be delivered post de-capping to provide an Inert Atmosphere Blanket to protect the sample during open tube processing. Nitrogen or Argon can be delivered just prior to Re-Capping ensuring an Inert Atmosphere within the tube prior to storage
