XRS-384 Automated Robotic Adhesive Plate Sealer

The xrs-384 Automated Plate Sealer offer a quick and integration friendly way to seal any SBS standard plate or deep well block. The xrs-384 uses an SBS micro plate holder on a linear shuttle mechanism which allows for simple robotic integration. The home position has open access, the shuttle then delivers the plate to the sealing unit which can apply a constant pressure, ensuring a uniform seal in less than 10 seconds.
The xrs-384 is fully programmable to accommodate all plate heights in 96, 384 and 1536-well formats to achieve a rapid and secure seal with Adhesive sealing foils and films.

Adhesive Sealing is widely used for short and long-term sample storage, thermal cycling and assay incubation, Since there is no heat damage to well chimneys, it is the preferable sealing method for applications in which plates must be sealed and accessed several times. In addition, applications such as protein crystallography and bacterial/cell culture growth require sealing with adhesives, as even small temperature fluctuations with samples need to be avoided.The xcs-384 and xrs-384 Plate Sealers are also used for applications such as protein crystallography and bacterial/cell culture growth, where sealing with adhesives is required but even small temperature fluctuations need to be avoided.

The range of sealing materials now available includes peelable, pierceable, optically clear and no-tacky seals. All demonstrate good integrity at low and high temperatures (down to -80oC) and chemical
resistance (including DMSO).
