Automated workcell for walkaway operation of the Guava EasyCyte™

	The Guava EasyCyte is a popular automated cell analyzer for monitoring extracellular and intracellular events. It uses a microplate footprint for samples in microplates or tubes. Using the Biosero KiNEDx laboratory robot and OVERLORD™ from PAA , the EasyCyte can be automated and plates can be added and tracked sequentially through the system. Since the processing time is relatively long it would take a human operator a long and tedious time to process even a small number of plates. Often this must be done during extended hours into the night since it takes a good part of the day to set up- the experiment. This automated workcell provides the ability to automated the analysis overnight, removing the tedium and providing the results for the next morning. When controlled by OVERLORD the KiNEDx arm can load the EasyCyte from traditional top loading stacks, random access stacks, as well as incubators.
