A medium-scale automated workcell provides walk-away capability typically for a several instruments, typically running an entire assay such as ELISA from beginning to end. Such assays typically have different incubation times for different parts of the assay, requiring scheduling by the control software to optimize throughput for a batch of plates.

We use PAA’s OVERLORD 2 automation software, which has proven drivers for more than 150 instruments and devices. We combine this with the robotics that are best suited to the job at hand, such as robotic arms or stackers.
